Heuristic Evaluation:
United Airlines Mobile app
As United Airlines rapidly digitizes, its mobile application is now at the core of providing its users a seamless end-to-end airport experience.
This heuristic evaluation will assess the usability of United's updated mobile app and provide recommendations to improve the overall app experience.

THE IDEA
Before the pandemic, I primarily traveled via United Airlines and frequently used the airline's mobile app for convenience.
I didn't travel during the pandemic and scarcely opened the app until March 2021. I noticed the app had several helpful COVID-related additions for an easier travel experience, and overall a different user interface than the one I was used to using prior to the pandemic.
As a designer and researcher, I decided to do a heuristic evaluation of the newly redesigned United app.
A heuristic evaluation is a holistic method of assessing the usability of an interface based on a set of "heuristics," or usability principles. Below is a deck with my findings.
